Day Before Thanksgiving Madness @ Rock Bottom (@ Cavs)

The day before Thanksgiving means seeing old friends, and this one was no different as the Wizards took on our old friend Lebron James and his Cleveland Cavs. Unfortunately for the Wiz, they couldn't pull out the win. But fortunately for us we didn't care too much as all the drinks we were imbibing had us feeling good despite the loss.

This was our first away game watch party of the season and we had an insane number of people attend. The nice people at Rock Bottom put the game on the big screen TV right  and we smashed together as many tables as we could find to fit everyone. We brought back the old Lebron Trolling Masks for a photo, gave away an autographed Garett Temple photo, enjoyed $2 microbrews, and cheered loudly against Lebron (Photos).

Rock Bottom is known for their legendary Wednesday $2 beer happy hour that runs all the way until 9pm. And while they have a decent selection the IPAs were flowing like crazy. This is the best place to spend the night before Thanksgiving and with a Wizards game on top of that it turned out to be a legendary night. Aside from the cheap beer (brewed at the establishment) there were also $3 fireball shots, so needless to say things got a little out of hand.  I think they also had appetizers on special too until 7pm, and despite eating some I don't actually remember the exact deal.

Sadly for this event we weren't able to put the sound of the game on, but there were so many people talking and having fun we probably wouldn't have been able to hear anyway. We will make sure the next time the bar gives us the sound or we won't be going there.

Nothing like cheap beer, watching basketball, and trolling the heck out of a player you don't like. Fun times, hope you join us for our next away game watch party. See you out there & Go Wiz!
